Please find below some of the most Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: Do you write grants and raise funds for individuals or businesses?
A: No. We provide grant and fund development services to non-profit organizations.

Q: Do you serve organizations throughout the United States?
A: Yes. We have served groups in Colorado, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.  We have worked with local, state, regional, and national organizations. We can work effectively utilizing the telephone and internet – and we’re willing to travel to provide onsite consultation.

Q: Do you only serve organizations with liberal politics?
A: You may have noticed our political orientation.  We don’t really fit into a “liberal” or “conservative” box – but we are committed to community service, social justice, human rights, and a healthy environment.  We certainly will work with social service organizations as well as with groups conducting advocacy and community organizing programs.  We provide a free consultation which helps both parties to decide if a partnership is a good fit.

Q: Why should we contract with Green Seeds?
A: There a many things about us that should persuade you to select our company to help with your grant-seeking and other fundraising campaigns.  Take the time to read the testimonials from our clients and to our review our history of successful grants.

Q: What services do you provide?
A: We specialize in grant development and management but we also provide a wide range of other fundraising and organizational services. We provide a free consultation to all prospective organizations to determine the right fit with our company.

Q: What fees do you charge for your services?
A: We charge for services based on an hourly rate that varies according to the size of an organization’s annual budget.

Q: Are expenses included in your fees?
A: No.  All expenses related to the grant development or other fundraising efforts must be covered by your organization, not by our company.  However, all expenses must be pre-approved by your organization before you incur any costs.  There are no surprises.

Q: Do you work for a percentage of the grant or fundraising campaign?
A: No.  Professional organizations that certify fundraising consultants consider it unethical to work for a percentage of the grant or fundraising campaign.  Our company will provide your organization with quality services for a fair hourly wage that is well worth your investment.

Q: Do you work on a contingency basis?
A: No.  However, we recognize that some new and/or community-based organizations do not have sufficient funds to immediately pay the full fee for our services.  We are still interested in your business – and we want you to succeed!  Call us and we can negotiate an arrangement that is both clear and fair.

Q: Can you guarantee that our organization will be funded?
A: No.  Any fundraising professional who guarantees funding should be considered suspect.  We can guarantee an honest assessment of the likelihood that we can help you secure funding. We can also guarantee a comprehensive organizational analysis; a persuasive narrative or appeal; thorough research; identification of the most promising funding sources; and an effective, strategic approach to grant-seeking and other fundraising efforts.
